Visiting Montauk

Lindsey LaneComment

Montauk, at the very end of Long Island, is one of my favorite parts of the Hamptons. It is like you enter the 1950s into this quaint surfer village. There are no fancy stores or restaurants, and all of the architecture is still very 1950. Montauk it much more enjoyable because it feels like an actual beach town- very low key.

A favorite spot in Montauk is Ruschmeyer's. This nautical camp is just that, a camp where you can stay, eat, listen to music, drink, and hang out in the grassy field.

I love all of the details making the camp feel low key, casual, and well, camp-like. The hanging glass globes for the succulent plants caught my eye.

If you ever get a chance to visit Montauk, I definitely suggest making your way to Ruschmeyer's. Across the pond is a place called Surf Lodge which is equally as cool.
