I saw this image on Pinterest here and wanted to share. An entry is someone's first impression so I feel that it is important to make a bold statement. You can do that through great wall paper, decorative paint, furniture, or a fantastic piece of art. In New York City, the entry foyer is typically small, but it gives the designer a chance to make the space fun and lively yet welcoming and well designed. It is like a jewel box that you open (or walk into) only wanting to see more.
I like the light color palette with a bright piece of art grounded by wood furniture and an oriental rug. It keeps the space airy and interesting. The wood furniture and rug helps the entry feel warm. It makes me want to walk into the next room and sit down with a cup of tea.
