I take tons of pictures daily- things I like, ideas, colors, books, furniture styles, fabrics, etc etc. I forget that when I look through my albums I have a phone full of inspiration. Sometimes I even forget about the picture I took until months later. I've been scheming several new projects lately and while I was out today I took some pictures of great things I'd love to share (and remember for one day myself).
So here is my Thursday in a nut shell. First, was a quick cappuccino from Eataly after my morning meeting.
I then ventured up to the design building where I saw this fabric at Holland and Sherry,
A wall full of colorful ikats at Brunschwig and Fils,
And a classic toile fabric upholstered on furniture at Clarence House.
Walking out I noticed one of my favorite showrooms, Todd Alexander Romano, represented in the window which I loved for the colorful mix of modern and antiques.
I stepped into Waterworks to see a shower head for an outdoor shower/pool house project I'm working on in East Hampton and I got distracted by this faucet first.
Speaking of the outdoors, how great is this furniture in the all white showroom of McKinnon and Harris?
I have a lot of fun during the day and definitely have the opportunity to be inspired constantly. Sometimes, I can easily get in the habit of just going through the day to day motions of getting work done, but its a good reminder to myself to just open my eyes and take all the great opportunities I have (and see) in, one photo at a time.
